The combination of technologies of diferent disciplines allows for increased patient care and enhances attention to detail. Here we show a case where the patient was missing a canine.
The new generation "cat"scans allow three dimensional visualisation of the bone and surrounding tissues at much reduced radiation exposure to the patient. This increases patient safety and permits pre-operative planning for accurate implant planning and placement.
This in turn maximises the chance of successfully restoring the missing tooth.
